The P3I 4G 'virtual-PIN' access control system is designed for touchless PIN code entry without the need for a physical pinpad.
Our 4G controller supports restricted time, day, date and number-of-use PIN code access management. Up to 2000 individual PIN codes can be fine tuned to suit each user's access requirements.
The functionality came about during the first wave of the Covid pandemic and has proven to be a very popular choice with temporary visitor / contractor access, especially for building maintenance.
The owner, administrator, building manager or property manager uses our web-based user management portal via any web-browser to set PIN codes with appropriate restrictions. PIN codes can also be set to send an instant SMS when used which records the user's arrival time in the event log.
The visitor is given the code to enter the property which is sent by SMS to the SIM card phone number of the device on site. The device receives the PIN, checks the restriction parameters and if withing the authorised limits, the gate/door opens.If the PIN sent is not valid, the gate/door will not open.
The 'non-authorised' attempt will be logged and can be sent to the administrator as an SMS containing the number of the person attempting. This allows the admin to call the user to establish if they should have access.
This proactive approach to visitor access streamlines the process, avoiding sharing keys and codes, making the access much easier to manage for all involved.
